It’s been a busy few months editing for some major brands in the UK and working with some amazing footage and people recently. Hopefully this work will be up in a new showreel soon but more excitingly I’ve been asked to join a powerhouse of a creative collective called Big Mess, because of this Darkpony will become a personal portfolio site again with most of my work being showcased over at Big Mess.

We’ve just added some our first batch of light leaks footage for purchase. These have been shot at 1920×1080 25FPS
The pack contains lots of various light leaks and a few wipes/transitions.
Footage has been cleaned to remove noise and uncolored so it’s ready to be manipulated.

Just click the videohive picture below.

Put on your timeline and use overlay/screen/lighten, or your composite choice. Then the leaks will work over your edited footage.

Tip: when moving to a new edit also cut the light leaks with a new one so the leaks look like they are part of the video footage underneath.

Tip: color or tint the video to change the look.

Tip: overlay duplicate light leaks with different color changes to create unique and gorgeous effects

We’ve just finished filming auditions for Masterchef India and had a great time capturing the potential contestants for next season’s show. The show brought in massive audience figures last season and you could feel the buzz around all the hopeful contestants with the possibility they might be off to India to compete on the show.

A very busy day for us as we had to film auditions and pressure test cooking sections that only gave the hopefuls thirty minutes to cook a meal from scratch with ingredients unknown to them until the test started.

We were using a new Sony NX70E and a Canon XA10. These two camera’s were great choices for the day as they both had internal storage and great peaking features and built-in xlr inputs which we haven’t had the luxury of using DSLR’s for such a long time. These camera’s performed without any problems and the quality they produced were really surprising for units of their size. We will definitely keep them in mind if they fit any future job requirements.

We’ve started to compile some of our best resources for purchase. We will soon be uploading a lot of different video resources for purchase through videohive.

We are hoping to increase the amount available steadily over the next few months including some breathtaking London city stock footage, light leaks, burns, presets and other goodies that will help increase the production quality of your work.
